Joaquin Phoenix – Falling Star
I am not talking about a star you make a wish on. Joaquin Phoenix is worrying Hollywood as his appearance matches his bizarre behavior.

After announcing his retirement from acting to purse a musical career, rumors that his substance and alcohol abuse reheated. He has battled with drugs and booze for years. Now fears for his health have also followed his obviously haggard state. The man looks the Unibomber with a penchant for hair accessories.
Phoenix showed up to the Butter Party at Fontainebleau Miami Beach’s LIV nightclub on Monday looking like a train wreck. He appeared as though he hasn’t bathed or cut his hair in months. Friends have also started to worry about his sanity.
‘For people who know Joaquin, it’s been an incredibly traumatic year, filled with chaos.
‘Everyone wants to help but nobody’s been able to break through. His bizarre behaviour has everyone worried. It’s just getting scary.’
Joaquin has been hitting bars and clubs on a nightly basis adding fuel to the fire. Even his “Two Lovers” costar, Gwyneth Paltrow, attempted to “reach out” to him. But the actor has shut down and snubbing every avenue of help. After going through rehab in 2005 he went right back to his alcohol and drugs and openly admitted having a returned to the bottle during filming for “Walk the Line.”
This behavior is a huge concern as Joaquin’s older brother, River Phoenix, died after a drug overdose outside the Viper Room in 1993. River was just 23 at the time of his death. Joaquin was just 19 when he tried to save his brother at the club. He was responsible for the 911 call that got River to the hospital. However, it was too late and he passed away at the hospital.
I really am pulling for him. I hope that he somehow finds help and fights off the demons plaguing him.
