Britney Spears Angers PETA Over Circus Animals
Britney Spears‘ new music video for her single, “Circus,” appears to have pissed off PETA.
In a rather nasty blog on their website, Christine Doré of PETA says,
Now, at the bottom of the barrel, she’s sporting elephants dressed in circus attire for her new video titled—what else—”Circus.”
As Britney is such a victim of the paparazzi and always complaining and crying about how she hates to be held up in her guarded house and can’t feel free, she of all people should be able to relate to the horror that captive animals go through when they’re used for entertainment. Except Britney chooses to perform, and the lifestyle just comes with it. Animals are ripped away from their mothers at a young age, kept in chains, and prodded with electric shock devices to make them perform. That doesn’t sound so voluntary to me.
Britney is now just an “outrageous” and “toxic” mess. I certainly don’t want her to “gimme more,” and neither do the animals who have been abused so that she can feel “lucky.”

these elephants that are used for entertainment are hit with large hooks that cut through their skin for “training” while the SCREAM OUT. they live in boxes packed together where they stand and sway constantly (that is how they calm themselves) i LOVE BRITNEY but I am BEYOND happy that she is not using animals on her tour. PETA might do some things that are considered crazy but it is only because everyone else turns away..check out the US federally funded, US Humane society…they investigate the same sort of things and don’t have the “crazy” rep. But PETA does some GREAT work even if the tactics are not that wonderful….do your research before you speak. if you have a heart, you’ll agree that what is done to animals in today’s society is cruel…being skinned alive for a fur coat, anyone? check the videos out on youtube…

PETA,STFU. seriously. did you personally talk to brittney about her video and ask her how the animal trainers or produers or ANYONE treated the animals? didnt think so. if anything, it could just be CGI’d, like the lions.
