Rosie O’Donnell Taking Over Prime Time
By Karen | October 3, 2008
I am one of those that usually enjoy Rosie O’Donnell and I really love it when she goes on one of her rampages. Like when she took on Donald Trump. So I am very interested in her newest project.
Rosie is supposed to have signed a deal with NBC to headline a hour long variety show. This is also a sneaky way to air a pilot show. The show will be appropriately titled ‘Rosie’s Variety Hour’. Do you think Elisabeth Hasselbeck will guest star?
“This is a dream come true for any performer,” O’Donnell said in a statement. “Old time variety, live from New York with a nod to Ed Sullivan, , and memories of Sonny and Cher.”
As of today this is a one shot deal, but if she is a hit who knows. How can Rosie miss she will be back in her element. I can just see it now she will start out with a rant, I mean a monologue then slide into some celebrity guests, sing a few songs [slightly off key] and then close with some comedy skits. Oh I almost forgot the bribes/gifts for the studio audience.
