Depending on your fashion sense you are either very sad or have no clue as who the fashion critic was. Mr. Blackwell ,86, has died. Yes, the man who came up with the “Worst Dressed List” passed away Sunday afterr suffering complications from an intestinal infection. Just an example of his work:

Meryl Streep: “She looks like a gypsy abandoned by a caravan.”

Sharon Stone: “An over-the-hill Cruella DeVille.”

Lindsay Lohan: “From adorable to deplorable.”

Barbra Streisand: “She looks like a masculine Bride of Frankenstein.”

Camilla Parker-Bowles: “The Duchess of Dowdy.”

Bjork: “She dances in the dark — and dresses there, too.”

Spears: “Her bra-topped collection of Madonna rejects are pure fashion overkill.”

Mr. Blackwell’s real name was Richard Sylvan Seltzer and he was the Tim Gunn of his day only bitchier. Come on you have got to love the man who can call Madonna the “The Bare-Bottomed Bore of Babylon.”

He will be missed by his long time partner, Robert Spencer, and all the well dressed celeb’s out there. Our condolences go out to his friends and family.
