Jennifer Hudson’s Mother and Brother Murdered, Nephew Missing
By Karen | October 26, 2008
Jennifer Hudson’s mother and brother were shot and killed Friday and her nephew, 7 year old Julian King , is still missing. There are several reports that this was motivated by a dispute over a car. Now there is never a good reason for murder but this just seems like an especially senseless one. Hudson’s sister Julia King is still pleading for information and the safe return of her son Julian.
The FBI joined the search Saturday for the 7-year-old nephew of Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Hudson, still missing a day after the bodies of Hudson’s mother and brother were found in the actress’ childhood home.
A suspect in the deaths remained in custody Saturday, but young Julian King had not been seen since the bodies of Darnell Donerson, 57, and Jason Hudson, 29, were found Friday afternoon.
Because of the possibility the boy may have been taken across state lines, police spokesman John Mirabelli said the FBI has been asked to assist in the search. FBI spokesman Ross Rice confirmed the agency was helping to look for the child, but he declined to provide details.
William Balfour the estranged husband of Julia is still in custody but not charged yet. Balfour is not cooperating with the police and his connection to Julian has not been confirmed. Balfour is not Julian’s father according to Julia’s statements.
This is a horrible senseless crime. The only positive thing is with Jennifer’s celebrity status there might be more national attention. Hopefully the media’s focus on this missing little boy can bring him back to his shattered family safe and unharmed. Our prayers are with them.
