Elizabeth Hasselbeck Leaving the “View” for Fox News…Maybe
By Karen | October 6, 2008
If you have ever seen ‘The View’ you know that Elisabeth Hasselbeckis a VERY staunch republican.
The View co-host is denying that she’s getting ready to leave the show for a position at Fox News Channel. Barbara Walters, executive producer of ‘The View,’ considers Elisabeth to be ‘vital to the program’.
“While Elisabeth [Hasselbeck] has a great relationship with Fox News, there is absolutely no truth to the rumor that she is leaving ‘The View,’” said Hasselbeck’s agent, Babette Perry, who goes on to say that Hasselbeck “is passionate in her beliefs and enjoys being a part of this dynamic group of women and engaging in daily conversations.”
There have been rumors flying around that Hasselbeck might jump ship to Fox News on the internet for awhile now. Especially recently as Hasselbeck has gotten increasingly louder and more stubborn in the ladies debates on ‘The View’. Not even calm collected Barbara Walters can get her calm down. Hasselbeck has made a lot of appearances on Fox News in the past year. Hasselbeck even served as the very first guest on former Republican Residential Candidate Mike Huckabee’s new talk show last weekend. Last month Hasselbeck hosted a luncheon for Cindy McCain.
This probably just a power play or else she is trying to get a nice fat raise to stay put. She is not going anywhere at Fox she would be just one more conservative in a crowd at ‘The View’ she is unique.
