We Will Never Forget…..
On September 11th 2001 the world changed. Everyone was effected by the attacks on America. It has been seven years since 9/11 shook the ground. Seven years of grieving and growing. Rising above all that happened and all that changed was thought to be impossible that day.
Mayor Bloomberg opened a ceremony this morning and observed two moments of silence at 8:46 and 9:03 EST in respect to the time the planes hit the World Trade Center. Two more organized moments of silence will take place at 10:05 and 10:29 EST to remember when the towers fell.
The Pentagon is also honoring 9/11 victims with an area dedicated to the 184 that were lost. The area is being called “The Park.” Each person has a bench, a tree and a water pool with their names. The plane that was taken down by the brave passengers, Flight 93, is being remembered in Pennsylvania. The 40 people on board of the flight saved countless others.
I would like to encourage you to observe a few moments of silence today. Take the time to put aside differences and anger and simply remember. My heart and deepest admiration to all those who have been effected.
