Miley Cyrus Movie Star Disney Style

Hannah Montana is old news so Miley Cyrus is desperately trying to broaden her appeal. The 15 year old Disney TV star has met with Disney execs to find a film to widen her tween image. Miley has signed on to star in an as yet untitled film by ‘Notebook” author Nicholas Sparks. At the meeting Miley said she liked “A Walk to Remember” staring Mandy Moore and wanted something like that to do.
Sparks has agreed to write a novel due in the fall of 2009 while working on the screenplay adaptation for the film. When Sparks explained the plot to Miley, she was intrigued. The film is set to be about family and romance.
Sparks explains that the Cyrus clan was “very familiar with the work I’ve done in the past. That played a role in this project coming together.”
Miley’s mother, Tish, will be the films executive producer. Wanna bet who will play her father in the film? This new movie is not a big surprise as Miley has been wanting to branch out of the Hannah Montana shadow for awhile now.
Asked about the future of her Disney hit Hannah Montana, she said in July: “We’re thinking this is our last season. I just think we did a lot of episodes.”
This is one busy girl! Her Hannah Montana movie is due out in the spring of 2009. She’s doing yet another year of Hannah Montana. She is dating 20 year old underwear models and writing songs about old boyfriends. Makes me wonder when she has time to be a kid.
