Britney Spears: 3 Big Wins at the VMA’s

By Karen | September 8, 2008

She’s baaaack! It was great to see Britney Spears take the stage last night. Brit opened the 25th Video Music Awards on MTV in a vintage Versace mini-dress that looked stunning on her.

“I’m here tonight to celebrate a very important birthday.” Spears said: “This is the 25th Video Music Awards – and it starts right now.”

Brit had barely left the stage after opening the show when she was called on to accept her first Moonman award for best female video for her song ‘Piece of Me’. Brit’s second award was not long in coming again for ‘Piece of Me’ for best pop video.

Brit did not perform but was still the star of the show. By the time she went up to accept her third award of the night the crowd went crazy for her. Best Video of the Year for you guessed it ‘Piece of Me’. Host Russell Brand was a real disappointment. Ragging on the Jonas Brothers for their purity rings and claiming that England wouldn’t trust George Bush with a pair of scissors. Brand apologized to the Bro’s later in the evening.

Brit has come full circle at last. She got herself together and now we can not wait to see what she will do next. Congrats on the three awards and lets hope for many more. We will be watching to see what is next for Britney and will tell all!
