Sneak Attack Media was kind enough to offer an Allie is Wired reader a signed vinyl copy of Albert Hammond, Jr’s new disc ¿Cómo Te Llama? Albert wondered if he was a monk dreaming he was a butterfly or a butterfly dreaming he was a monk. The question of his personal preference was a matter of lifespan versus wingspan, ultimately, and though he chose human he still could not avoid being stepped on by something bigger than himself.

I at least have The Strokes in my top ten over at the office.
To stay on topic with mentioning Albert, I have this one aunt who is OBSESSED with Billy Joel and I showed her a picture of Albert one day and said “Doesn’t he look like he could’ve been the distant son or cousin of Billy?” And this is totally a compliment. I am a big fan of his old, angry stuff and newer drunk driving. She screamed “EW!” (and profanities) at me. I still say I could’ve been right.
