Paul Newman and his Final Fight

Paul Newman of the amazing blue eyes has reportedly told his family that he wants to die at home. The 83 year old Oscar winner has completed his chemotherapy but has been told he has weeks to live. Newman was recently seen in a wheelchair leaving the Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York. It has been reported that the star of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid wants to spend his last days at home with his wife Joanne Woodward and their daughters in his final weeks.

“Paul didn’t want to die in the hospital,” a source told the Daily Mail. “[Wife] Joanne [Woodward] and his daughters are beside themselves with grief.”

A ‘close family friend’ has informed us that the well know racing enthusiast is getting his affairs in order by giving away a few things. Newman’s decision to give away his favorite Ferrari to a pal was also said to piss his kids off. Let’s hope that they are worried about Newman giving up and not just greedy.

“The sudden move angered his children,” said the source. “It’s especially hard for them to come to grips with what’s going on.”

Newman was nominated for ten Oscars and won for Best Actor for The Color of Money with Tom Cruise retired from acting in 2007. Newmans Own is a line of food products that Newman owns and donates all the earnings to charity. The first rumors of Newman’s illness surfaced in January of this year.

UPDATE: Rumors are currently surfacing that Paul Newman has died. So far there has not been a confirmation. We will keep you updated.
