McDonald’s Sponsors Olympic Champion Crew Contest
By Allie | August 21, 2008
McDonald’s assembled its own ‘Olympic Champion Crew’ for the Beijing 2008 Olympics.
All around the world, the “best of the best” of McDonald’s restaurant employees were selected to travel to the Olympic Games and work in the McDonald’s restaurants erected to serve the athletes and media.

Each member of the Olympic Champion Crew was sent a Flip video camera as a gift and a tool for entry, and were asked to express their own Olympic spirit in just five words.
Twenty two of the most creative entries were chosen to be featured on a community voting site (http://profiles.friendster.com/olympicspiritofmcdonalds ) to compete for the bronze, silver and gold medals and cash prizes of up to $2,500.
The winners were announced in Beijing on August 14 at a special medal ceremony.
First Place - Regina Andriesh/Estonia
Second Place - Agnes Sinnema/The Netherlands
Third Place - Jiang Chuan/China
Congratulations to the winners! You can still see the video clips here.

the picture of that kitty freaks me out most of all. Cat burgers?
China cooks cats and sells/kills dogs at their vet market// It is funny how cleverly they hid all that from the world visiting during the Olympics and even said this wasn’t happening there anymore. Not true. My friends were there last November for a conference and the market featured dogs, waiting to be killed for food.
