Ellen Ties the Knot

Congrats go out to Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi who were married in a small intimate ceremony at sunset in their Los Angeles home last night. Just nineteen guests watched as the devoted couple exchanged handwritten vows. Ellen’s mom Betty and de Rossi’s mother Margaret Rogers were among the handful of guests at the ceremony. Rogers flew in from Australia for the big event. The couple were dressed by Zac Posen and looked amazing. Ellen glowed in a white chiffon shirt and waistcoat with white trousers, and Portia shone in a backless cream and pink halter neck dress.
“We are very, very excited,” DeGeneres said earlier. Onlookers described the couple as “ecstatic.”
Ellen, 50 and Portia, 35 have been dating since 2004. Ellen announced their wedding plans on her TV chat show last May, when California finally lifted the ban on same sex marriage.
Ellen gave Portia a 3-carat diamond ring set on a pink pave band. Hey that girl knows her jewelry, it is beautiful!
“She’s taught me lessons about myself, and I feel like I’ve taught her,” the TV host said of de Rossi last year. “We’ve both changed and grown, and we just feel like, ‘Oh, okay, this is completion.’”
