Angelina Jolie Might Not Barack the Vote

Everyone wants a piece of Angelina Jolie. The newest vultures sniffing around Jolie are none other than the presidential hopefuls John McCain and Barack Obama. I know! Can you believe the politics surrounding this actress?

Brand new mom and the goodwill ambassador for the United Nations and High Commissioner for Refugees sent a message loud and clear to both parties: back off.

“I have not decided on a candidate,” Jolie says in a statement.” I am waiting to see the commitments they will make on issues like international justice, refugees and how to address the needs of children in crisis around the world,” says Jolie, 33.

Both parties seem to think of her as a gold star among the undecided votes and are courting her big time. After her return from a U.N. sponsored trip to Iraq Jolie was even more determined to make her vote count.

“My visit left me even more deeply convinced that we not only have a moral obligation to help displaced Iraqi families, but also a serious, long-term, national security interest in ending this crisis.”

Angie has been having some deep political discussion with her latest director Clint Eastwood. Eastwood is the director of Jolie’s latest film The Changeling and also a huge Republican.

“Actually, we don’t disagree as much as you’d think. I think people assume I’m a Democrat. But I’m registered independent and I’m still undecided. So I’m looking at McCain as well as Obama.”

Her father Jon Voight has recently backed McCain and wrote an op-ed for the Washington Times highly critical of Obama. Now if I was a betting woman I might think that since her father went for McCain that would mean Jolie would go for Obama just to spite him…since she can’t “accidently” push him down the stairs.
