Wired Music: Beck is Back with ‘Modern Guilt’

Beck released his eighth album, Modern Guilt, on July 8, and although I didn’t enjoy it quite as much as his last disc, The Information, it’s still my summer jam.
The first single, “Gamma Ray,” is the stand out with it’s catchy surf-rock guitars and up-beat rhythms. “Orphans,” featuring Cat Power, is another memorable track, but all-in-all, the rest of the album left me yearning for another version of The Information.
I’ve never been a big Beck fan, so I might be alone in my assertion. Take a listen to another track, “Chemtrails,” and let us know what you think.
