Double congratulations go out to Mr. and Mrs. Jerry O’Connell! Mrs. O’Connell better known as Rebecca Romijn is expecting twins this winter. This will be the first children for either of them. There seems to be something in the water in Hollywood with all the twins being born lately.

Romijn and O’Connell were introduced at a party in 2004 and were engaged a year later. They married in July of 2007. When O’Connell was interviewed earlier this month he said that the couple had been trying for a baby and the conception process had been “a lot of fun for me.”

“It would be amazing if it happened,” he said at the Much Love Animal Rescue’s “Bow Wow WOW!” event in L.A. July 19. “I hope it does happen.”

O’Connell claims that he knows the secret to a happy marriage. “We have a lot of fun together. I really enjoy being with her. I think Rebecca really enjoys being with me.”

O’Connell will be one of the stars in the new Fox sitcom Do Not Disturb starting this fall. Romijn will star in a new drama this November called Lake City and will return for a few episodes of the ABC hit Ugly Betty this fall.

When questioned about working together on a project the happy couple explained “Yeah, but we are so afraid of that Gigli effect!” O’Connell joked. “You can’t really go there anymore. It’s over. It’s done.”
