Jay Leno Pissed at NBC

jay-leno.jpg

Jay Leno is slated to ‘retire’ from the Tonight show in 2009 and Conan O’Brien to take over for him as host. But don’t count Jay out as a retiree just yet.

“I am definitely done next year — with NBC,” he says, sitting in a huge recliner in his poster-strewn shop office. Would he go to another network? Leno just smiles. “I’m not a beach guy, and the last time I was in my pool was to fix a light. Don’t worry, I’ll find a job somewhere.”

Until then the Tonight Show will have to do sandwiched in between the 160 stand-up dates he works a year. Jay is one busy man. Jay finds time to do Jay’s Garage on the internet too, automobiles are his passion.

But do not let Jay fool you he is sharp as a tack. He is probably in talks with ABC right now deciding on a set and a band. Conan does not stand a chance against David Letterman and Jay as competition. Much as we all like Conan I for one will change the channel to see Leno’s take on the world. Sorry Conan. After the Letterman mess of his jumping to CBS you would have thought NBC would treat the talent better. Anyway, good lucky Jay.

I can’t help but wonder wether it would kill these studios to put the damned thing in the hands of a woman.

What’s wrong with Tina Fay for example?

I really can’t see why they’re replacing Jay Leno. I don’t even find Conan funny–he’s just silly and sometimes tries too hard. I hope Jay Leno finds another network so that I’ll still be able to catch his show.
