On July 1st a neighbor found Lee Grivas dead in his apartment. With no signs of trauma or struggle, rumors of a drug overdose have surfaced as the cause of death. Nothing official has confirmed. The National Enquirer leds us to believe that Grivas’ heroin addiction took his life at the young age of 26.

Grivas was Christina Applegate’s boyfriend. The couple met through her a friend who danced with Applegate in her Broadway show “Sweet Charity.” However, it is unclear as to whether or not they were officially together at the time of his death. The couple have been on and off for some time. They reportedly had gotten back together this April after splitting in 2005. Problems in their relationship, according to rumor, centered around his use of drugs and alcohol.

Christina gave a statement on the loss of her friend and loved one.

“I am profoundly saddened. Lee was an incredible human being who was an extremely important and beautiful part of my life.

“He is missed beyond words,” she added. “He touched so many and I feel much sadness for his mother, father, brother, and all of his family and friends.”
