The nominations for the 2008 Primetime Emmy Awards were announced on Thursday morning by Neil Patrick Harris and Kristen Chenoweth. Both of whom were nominated for an Emmy. The 60th Emmy Awards will be held Sept. 21st on ABC.

They also celebrated today complete with a cake, hugs and unicorns. (Ok, maybe no unicorns.) Harris seemed to be worried about the joke candles that they couldn’t blow out and kept trying to snuff them out with his fingers. He also joked about trying out for the next season of Project Runway.

Ryan Seacrest and Heidi Klum were nominated in the brand new Best Reality Show category, GO Heidi! We wish all the nominees good luck and our congratulations, but some [Heidi] we wish more than others.

I’m glad to see 30 Rock on there, although it’s not too big of a surprise - no matter how mediocre audience reception might have been, the industry’s always loved it.

It’s cold out on the Bering Sea, but with only one episode left– the heat is on! Don’t miss the season finale of Deadliest Catch as the captains race to catch the last of their remaining quotas while battling ice and equipment issues. Also, Time Bandit’s Scottie makes a near fatal mistake working the hydraulic system. The wildest, hardest, and roughest season ever is about to come to a close– and you don’t want to miss a minute! The Deadliest Catch season finale airs Tuesday night at 9PM on the Discovery Channel. http://dsc.discovery.com/fansites/deadliestcatch/deadliestcatch.html
