Pancreatic cancer will not stop Patrick Swayze. The actor braving his way through his illness is set to return to working. He will back on set for his new tv show this summer.

A&E will be bringing a new series to the screen. Filming begins this summer and has already been titled “The Beast.” Swayze has high hopes and assures everyone the show will kick ass.

“I have searched for quite a long time to find a character that is this multi-layered, unpredictable and downright entertaining, as well as a project this current and cutting edged.”

Patrick will star as a veteran FBI agent tutoring his rookie partner, played by Travis Fimmel, in the ways of solving crime. Production starts in Chicago and is hoped to be ready to air the first episode in the first few months of 2009.

I love Swayze. He won my heart in “Too Wong Foo Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar.” No one could rock the Vita Boheme character like Patrick. Get well soon Vita!
