Katherine Heigl Snubs Emmy

Katherine Heigl refused to put up her name for an Emmy this year. Her character on Grey’s Anatomy was bitchey and boring this year. Hiegl won last year and was probably a contender again this year, the show is just that good. But I agree with Heigl sorry hon, but sad but true.

“I did not feel that I was given the material this season to warrant an Emmy nomination and in an effort to maintain the integrity of the academy organization” decided against competing, Heigl said in a written statement provided by her publicist, Melissa Kates, who was contacted by the AP.”

“In addition, I did not want to potentially take away an opportunity from an actress who was given such materials,” added Heigl. She plays Dr. Izzie Stevens on “Grey’s Anatomy,” which is still in the top 10, but ratings have slipped this year.

Heigl has her sights set on a film career and this sounds like just a little protest against being on the small screen. Heigl seems to put a lot of blame on the writers for everything lately. Bitching about her film Knocked Up Heigl says “It paints the women as shrews, as humorless and uptight, and it paints the men as goofy, fun-loving guys,”

Pull up those big girl panties and grow up. Next she will be complaining that she is too beautiful or too thin.
