David Cook Singing The National Anthem
By Cara | June 11, 2008
I am a huge fan of Cook. He was my favorite to win American Idol. However, David Cook singing The National Anthem was not exactly stellar for me. No matter. I still loves me some Mr. Cook. The fact that he was nervous explains his rocky start to the song.
“The nerves are way worse [than on Idol]. It’s the one song you don’t want to mess up. I’m going to try not to notice Jack Nicholson sitting in the front row and think about the lyrics.”
To add to the fear factor, new girlfriend and former American Idol hopeful Kimberly Caldwell was also there to support her new boy toy. The two haven’t been exactly shy about their budding romance. Even with his new lady’s support David was shaking before, during and after his performance.
Awww. It’s ok David. Come seek solace in my bosom.
