Sydney Pollack Dies of Cancer
By Karen | May 27, 2008
Hollywood is saddened today with the loss of renowned director Sydney Pollack. Pollack was diagnosed with cancer ten months ago and under treatment. Pollack lost his battle on Monday. Pollack was not only a wonderful director with films like Tootsie and Out of Africa to his credit he was an actor too. His last film Michael Clayton with George Clooney, but my favorite role of his was Will’s dad on Will & Grace.
George Clooney said “Sydney made the world a little better, movies a little better and even dinner a little better.”
He will be dearly missed. Hollywood won’t be the same without him. These days finds true talent hard to come by.
