Nick Hogan Gets 8 Months In The Slammer

Nick Hogan, the 17-year-old son of wrestling legend Hulk Hogan (aka Terry Bollea) has been sentenced to 8 months in jail by a Florida judge in the matter of a car crash case that resulted in the loss of his passenger’s life. Lawyer’s of the Hogan family have commented that Nick is “happy” with the sentencing.

Nick Hogan

I have to pat him on the back for being mature through-out this whole thing. I know, I know, somebody lost their life in the accident and there is no getting off when your actions result in the death of another person, but I feel like it’s important to point out that Hogan lost his friend and has secretly dealt with that loss and the guilt of playing a part in the tragedy. I’m not sure how much of a victim the passenger was, versus willing participant in drafting. While I feel like legal justice has been served, has moral justice been served too? Did Hogan really deserve the backlash he got, or was it overserved?

While you make a point, Nick Hogan had multiple speeding and reckless driving tickets before this ever happened. It was not enough to stop him. At 18, this conviction will be dropped from his record like it never happened. This kid rode his skateboard through the hospital to see his comatose friend, was rude and disruptive so how much private grieving he has done we will never know. He needed a sentence that would have had real impact and given him some respect for why laws are laws in the first place, not a slap on the wrist. The maximum was 5 years – he should have gotten that w/3 counted as served, probation, loss of license for a time and the conviction should have stayed on his record for life.

HE GOT WHAT HE DESERVED. HE SHOULD OF GOT MORE TIME. IF IT WAS SOMEONE ELSE HE WOULD GOT THE 5

As much as I like him cause I like racing in the streets with motorbike and car too – he surely gets what he deserves.

If you drink or do drugs – you are not supposed to drive.
If you driver over your limits – you should be aware and get a bit slower.

All the tickets for speeding could be mine – I frequently have to pay cause I am never into the limit.

Hopefully he will learn his lessons and maybe could turn back to the racing court after the slammer and live his need for speed there.

As far as I know, he didn’t kill anyone. The passenger is alive, albeit a vegetable.

Hogan has been in trouble before and has bragged publicly about getting away with speeding and dangerous driving. This wasn’t just a random act. He has had plenty of form for this kind of behaviour.

Cheers to that MrsJ!!! I couldn’t agree more. The kid isn’t dead, he is in the hospital still. Awful enough, he will probably remain there or in some sort of treatment center for the rest of his life.

I look at it like this….this kid is a spoiled brat. He had a few drinks in him and was going waaaay to fast. What if that was your kid he turned into a vegetable? You would probably be pushing for a death penalty. I know I would if someone I considered a “friend” took the value of my life with no respect.

He didn’t kill anyone, his passenger will be on life support forever and will prob necer wake up, but he didn’t kill him. Not that being in a vegative state is a whole lot better :(
