New Kids on the Block Summertime Single
The New Kids on the Block album is coming. I know all you NKOTB fans are busting out your old fanny packs and Jordan Knight signed underpants you scored your sophomore year in high school, but I am afraid the saying “you can’t teach an old dog new tricks” is true.
The 15 year hiatus doesn’t seem to play a factor in their music. “Summertime” appears to be the same old recycled bubble gum dedication to teenage love. I hate to break it to them, but they seem to be more qualified to sing about mortgage payments, unemployment lines and cholesterol worries.
The gang of guys (that seem to only have one en vogue outfit a piece) will reunite and sing the single “Summertime” for a throng of dedicated fans on May 16th. The official release date is May 13th. I am sure K-Mart will be pillaged of every copy.
I hate to be hard on them….but I hope they enjoy it while it lasts.
What Others Said:
- Popjustice- “It starts off being far better than you might have expected, ends up being far worse than you could ever have feared.”
- A Socialite’s Life- “They should call it “Some Of Us Need Checks.” It’s light and frothy and mediocre and it always weirds me out when gays (Jonathan Knight) have to sing about wet girls on the beach and how hot they are.”

I just finished listening to that young singer Nasri on MYSPACE and his music is so great. He is actually behind the NKOTB comeback. He wrote the song “ click click click ” and co-wrote “ summertime ” with Donnie. He also is working on some other songs with the group according to the NKOTB website. Here’s the link I found.

My Favorite song is “NOT THE SAME” (myspace.com/nasriworld)
Check his myspace and add him as a friend because he always replies back with a thank you. He’s really hot too!!
