Jessica Simpson’s Country Single Listen Here
By Karen | May 28, 2008

Jessica Simpson is now a dumb blonde country singer. Her new single “Come on Over” hit the web Tuesday. Jessica confided that she even wrote a song for Tony Romo called “Back in My Old Boots”. Jessica claims that Romo “reintroduced me to myself.” Does Papa Joe Simpson know about this?
“Just come on over/I need you now/I need you bad/I need you baby looking just like that,” Simpson, 27, sings in a southern drawl.
“I am a country girl,” she told Billboard of recording. “I grew up in Texas, and country music was what I listened to. I always wanted to make a country album, but I wanted to wait until the time was right.”
Is this a desperate grab at a fast fading music career? Of course it is! But I have always had a soft spot for Jessica, she knows she is a dumb blonde and enjoys it. She does not try to be anything else, as if she could.
