Nina Garcia Fired!?!?

The bad cop to Tim Gunn’s good cop has rumors flying around her departure from Elle magazine. Normally the hierarchy of Elle fashion magazine would barely be a blip in anyone’s radar. However the Elle magazine Editor in Chief and Project runway judge, Nina Garcia, was allegedly fired.
Last Tuesday Elle hosted a dinner with Moschino and the crème de la crème of the fashion and design world attended. Nina was not there and no sign or mention of her was made. She also came in on Friday to work by mysteriously disappeared in the afternoon.
Garcia is a power player in the industry. Tim Gunn has made the moniker “don’t bore Nina” a rule of thumb for designer hopefuls to live by. She has written a book called “The Little Black Book of Style” that provides general rules of do’s and faux pas.
The New York offices are abuzz with gossip and theories as to the circumstances behind the status of Garcia. Whether or not this will play a role into her employment with Project Runway is also of concern. The details are still being kept on the hush. However a strong theory that has surfaced involves Elle being unhappy with Project Runway’s move from Bravo to Lifetime.
