Yeah, I really don’t think that Miley Cyrus will fit the role of Samantha Madison in the production movie. Seriously, and personally, I think it’s because I just don’t feel her vibe.
But it’s just my opinion. And I REALLY DO THINK THAT SHE WILL never FIT THE BIG ROLE!!!
Raven Symone and Ellen Page would be good choices. Any young star will do but Miley Cyrus.

They are not making an All-American Girl movie yet. Meg Cabot wrote in her blog (http://www.megcabot.com/diary/) on Sunday, April 6, 2008 that she still owns film rights.

I was thinking, because The Princess Diaries film was so disappointing and nothing at all like the books, that there should be a TV series based on the books, like what was done with Gossip Girl. There have been 10 books based on Mia’s life from the age of 14 to 18. There are many aspiring young actresses out there who would fit into the role.

Hey I think miley does not fit Sam’s role at all for so many reasons, but I believe ellen page would be perfect for it don’t you think, I now she’s not a non-famous actress cause she’s a terrific one but she would totally be that dark girl Sam is, a rebel. Love the series, but the 2nd book would NEVER be allowed as a Disney movie. It’s basically ALL about sex. Anyway, I hate Miley with a passion. I think, like lots of others are saying, that an unknown/undiscovered actress would be much better . As for Lucy…I don’t know if she’s old enough, but Dakota Fanning fits the part pretty well.
