American Idol- Simon Cowell and Ryan Seacrest Continue to Fight
By Cara | March 12, 2008
Tuesday night Ryan Seacrest and Simon Cowell went at it again. Cowell compared Jason Castro to “a student in a bedroom at midnight.” Not missing an opportunity Ryan told Cowell, “My advice to you is when the sun goes down, leave that student’s room. Get out.” Being the more mature of the two, Simon then warned him, “Ryan, careful, just be careful.”
Then after Kristy Lee Cook took the stage and did an awful rendition of the Beatles song “8 Days a Week,” Ryan took a dig at Simon’s advice from a previous week to keep things in the country realm. After that Cowel finally shot back.
“Ryan, you are being really obnoxious, get on with presenting the next link.”
Not wanting to look like a total asshat, Seacrest replied:
“I will in a second. How about when you become host you can work this out yourself. I can build you the old set and you can play host in your own back yard.”
These two bicker like an old bitter couple that won’t give up reaching their 50th anniversary. Just hump and get it over with. It is like a revamped version of “Moonlighting,” and Bruce Willis is British.

Ryan Seacrest is one of the main reasons that I don’t watch this show anymore. Paula, to a lesser extent, is the other. Between the two, I cannot stomach the lack of intelligence and maturity.

I think what Ryan & Simon do is part of the show’s script. The producers tell them to dramatize to keep the audience glued and wanting more.
