Tom Cruise Snubs the Oscars for Nascar

While Tom Cruise was snubbing the Oscars for the Auto Club 500 Nascar race, I sat contemplating what this could possibly mean.
Is he planning a Days of Thunder sequel? Is he buying himself a race team to have Scientology sponsor some space card that runs on the souls of those he refute the religion? Or has he finally gone publicly crazy and locked up Katie for good to live out his dream as the first douche to drive a race car?
Someone please go check on Katie Holmes!
