Amy Winehouse Moves in With the Osbournes to Get Clean
By Allie | February 7, 2008
Sharon and Ozzy feel that Amy Winehouse has a better chance of recovery if she moves in with them. The couple raised two children that have bounced in and out of drug and alcohol problems and suggest they would be fit to help Amy recover. Amy is a good friend of Kelly Osbourne and has “been there” for Amy. She went as far as taking the signer clothes in rehab. So far the plan is for Winehouse to move into the Osbourne manor in Chalfont St Peter, Buckinghamshire.
Winehouse left rehab to try and score a visa to get outta Dodge for the crème de la crème of music awards. Alas, she was just denied access to cross the pond for the Grammy’s. Her publicist said that Amy is unhappy with the denial, but accepts that she needs to do what is best for her health.
Oh, yes! This is a great idea. It’s like putting a fat kid in a doughnut factory to loose weight.

I actually think this is a good idea, the Osbournes really know what rehab and recovery and leaving bad habits is all about, so I think they’re going to help Amy get better. Either way, good luck!

I think that Winehouse is better off living in a crime infested neighborhood vs. the Osborn’s house. Jack has had drug issues, so has Ozzy, and Kelley… [i'm not sure about sharron]. Either way, it’s like giving a heroine addict a needle and telling them not to use it… I think there would be too much temptation in that house, but then again, who am i to judge.

I think it’s an excellent idea.
Having a “been there , done that” attitude around you is better than “hey , can you score some more for us”, as has been the case with her in the past.
She definitely needs some “mothering”, of which her own mom & pop don’t seem too capable of handling at the moment (her da’s interview on the “I Warned You I Was Trouble” DVD is quite telling. Denial, much?
Now if she can only get past her Pete Doherty-wannabe hubs…
