American Idol-David Archuleta Has Already Won

David Archuleta has the American Idol thing in bag. If I were going on after him to sing, knowing me I would crank out something from the Newsies soundtrack, it would be because someone was forcing me with threats of a cattle prod.
He has the loveable youthful innocence about him that makes every tween in the audience swoon. Combine that with the overcoming of a vocal paralysis…there is no competition. Beyond being a medical marvel, his actual talent doesn’t hurt either.
After singing “Imagine” to an audience already in love him, he probably just snagged himself at least 100 contracts. It isn’t the first time he cranked out the Beatles tune. Before his voice changed he sang for a local Utah news show. Accompanied only by a guy strumming a guitar, he reminded me of the male version of a little Christina Aguilera.
Even Simon had nothing but praise for the superstar in training while Paula, of course, cried. The girls in the audience were probably throwing their Hannah Montana training bras at him during the break. He is like a sack full of kittens. You can’t help but just want to dip him syrup and eat him up.

Ok, I’m a musician, and I know talent. David A is a very talented young man. But, we have not heard him do anything except for ballads so far. Which he does very very well. But if he can’t do at least one upbeat song before the end of the season, then I think it would be a travesty to see him win. A musician has to be diverse, and so far he comes off as being stuck in one form of voacl style, and thats all. He would have my vote, if he can show me more. Otherwise, it’s between Carly, or David Cook.
