MILEY CYRUS:
Born Destiny Hope Cyrus, the Tennessee-born tween star (here in 2001) got the nickname “Miley” as a kid. She landed her breakthrough role on Disney’s Hannah Montana at age 14!
ANGELINA JOLIE:
“I was a member of a group called the Kissy Girls,” the L.A.-born star has recalled. “I was very sexual in kindergarten. I created a game where I would kiss the boys and give them cooties. Then we would make out and we would take our clothes off. I got in a lot of trouble!”
KATE HUDSON:
Growing up in L.A., the actress has said her brother Oliver nicknamed her “Dumbo” because of her giant ears. “Every time it was windy outside, Oliver would be like, ‘Don’t fly away now, Kate,’” she has said.
JAKE GYLLENHAAL:
The L.A.-born Brokeback Mountain man made his big screen debut in 1991 comedy City Slickers at age 11.

ASHTON KUTCHER:
The actor (here at age seven) - who also has a fraternal twin brother - grew up in tiny Cedar Rapids, Iowa. “I wanted to come to Hollywood,” he has recalled thinking as a kid. “But in Iowa it’s like, ‘How will I ever do that?’”
AMY WINEHOUSE:
At age 12, the “Rehab” singer lost a scholarship to a prestigious stage school in her native London because she wouldn’t focus on her academics. Shocker: She was expelled at 16!
JUDE LAW:
The Brit-born actor was bullied so bad as a kid, he was taken out of school. At 12, he enrolled with the National Youth Music Theatre to study acting.
JENNIFER LOPEZ:
In her Bronx, New York, neighborhood, Lopez was nicknamed “the Supernova” by friends.
JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE:
The Memphis, Tennessee, native began taking voice lessons at age 8. He was 12 when he landed a spot (opposite ex Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and Ryan Gosling) on Disney’s The Mickey Mouse Club in 1993. “In my younger years…[working] was really all I cared about,” he has said.
JENNIFER GARNER:
“I was just a quiet, little, happy nerd, going along with my other nerd friends,” the actress has said of growing up in Charlestown, West Virginia.
