The very thought of grocery shopping with Pete Wentz creeps me out. Simpson feels otherwise. Pete and Ashlee are now on the engaged rumor mill. On her boney chipped black polished left ring finger is a simple silver band that appeared during the holidays.

The two spent New Year’s Eve in Miami at the Shore Club. She sported the ring at the bash and on New Year Day. This is one of several times they were rumored to be ready to walk down the aisle. In July Simpson’s rep denied any upcoming nuptials. Now she has got some bling on her hand, reports are surfacing once again. But reps for both Wentz and Ashlee are again saying they are not betrothed.

I bet Papa Joe is going bat-shit crazy. I can just picture him yelling at Ashlee, his southern twang in overdrive and his eye bulging out of his head. Ahhhh…Happy New Year.
