Hollywood Celebrities pair up for this seasons ‘Hot Holiday Movie Romances‘.
Enchanted: Patrick Dempsey & Amy Adams (Nov. 21) From McDreamy to McDisney! This classic Disney fairy tale, combining live action with animation, finds an idealistic princess (Adams, 33) falling for a jaded Manhattan divorce attorney (Dempsey, 41). Producer Barry Josephson tells Us: “He influences her with logic and guile while she influences him by opening up his heart.”
Fred Claus: Rachel Weisz & Vince Vaughn (Nov. 9) Oh, brother! Resenting his beloved sibling, Santa Claus, may be the least of the title character’s troubles. “Fred (Vaughn, 37) is the sort of boyfriend who can’t remember his girlfriend’s birthday – or even show up on time,” producer Jessie Nelson tells Us. “But by the end, he’s able to commit to Wanda (Weisz, 36).”
Five more after the jump!
P.S. I Love You: Hilary Swank & Harry Connick Jr. (Dec. 21) Though Holly (Swank, 33) has lost the love-of-her-life hubby, he returns to her in a series of letter he penned before passing away – which inspire her to find love again with a bartender (Connick, 40) who works for her mom. Producer Wendy Finerman tells Us: “It was the first time Hilary got to look pretty in a while – and not have to be so tough.”
Juno: Jennifer Garner & Jason Bateman (Dec. 5) No kidding! When Vanessa (Garner, 35) and Mark (Bateman, 38) find they can’t conceive, the couple spend nine months getting to know a pregnant teen whose baby they’re planning to adopt. Director Jason Retiman promises Us the dramedy will be relatable to many thirtysomething couples – “Because it’s a very tricky time to have a baby.”
Cassandra’s Dream: Colin Farrell & Sally Hawkins (Dec. 28) In this dark Woody Allen thriller, Hawkins, 31, plays the fiancee of Farrell, 31 – who also gets involved with his brother when the money-grubbing blokes become embroiled in a crime. “I felt very connected to Colin and able to be myself,” Hawkins tells Us. “Which is important if you’re trying to portray a truthful relationship.”
I’m Not There: Heath Ledger & Charlotte Gainsbough (Nov. 21) It is me, babe! In this Bob Dylan biopic, Ledger, 28, plays the folk legend during his early Greenwich Village days, falling for a politically active French beauty (Gainsbough, 36). “Theyre beautiful together physically,” director Todd Haynes tells Us. “But they also evoke something literate and optimistic.”
Margot at the Wedding: Jennifer Jason Leigh & Jack Black (Nov. 16) No, sister! Pauline (Leigh, 45) and Malcolm (Black, 38) are a working-class couple hoping to wed – despite her jealous sibling Margot (Nicole Kidman, 40) trying to split them up. Director Noah Baumbach tell Us: “There’s a lightness to the fiances’ relationship” because, in real life, the actors’ “sense of humor is really similar.”
