After some weeks of speculation, Cate Blanchett has confirmed her pregnancy.

The Sydney Morning Herald reported that Cate revealed during a glamorous red carpet appearance in Sydney last night that she is expecting her third child.

Wearing a pink dress that was draped in bright orange organza, Blanchett said she was in the early stages of pregnancy.

When asked if she was expecting, the Oscar winner beamed and said: “Yes, I am.” The mother of two boys shook her head at rumours that it was a boy, saying: “You know more than me. It’s early days yet. It’s due in April.”

Andrew and Cate already have two sons, Dashiell and Roman. Many congratulations to all of them!
