Avril Lavigne Gets More Annoying By The Day
By Consuela B. | September 7, 2007
Oh, Avril Lavigne, how you make things worse by speaking. I’ll be honest, I used to like Avril and I rocked out to the poppy punk sound. But every time she speaks, I like her less and less. Here’s a recent interview with Britain’s Q Magazine - judge for yourselves:
On dealing with her incredible success:
“Selling 24 million albums hasn’t really affected me, but it has changed things. I can’t walk into a room full of people any more without everybody turning their heads, and I can only eat in certain restaurants where I know I won’t get hassled. But that’s OK. I was born to do this, and so I’ve learned how to cope.”
On her competition:
“Someone like Kelly Clarkson is beautiful and has a pretty voice, but with me you get a much stronger image. I’m tough, I have a look that girls want to copy, and I sound a particular way. It’s good if you’re not easily ignored. And I’m not.”
On her generosity:
“I am a very giving person. When the hurricane thing happened, I went to my closet, filled six boxes of stuff and said to my assistant, ‘Take it to Katrina!’ I also like to give stuff to people who are my ‘workers,’ especially if they don’t make much money.”
On her polarizing personality:
“People love me and people hate me, but I’m comfortable in my own skin and that’s what counts. And anyway if you do hate me, you’re the loser, not me.”

dude, avril is so stupid, i liked her at first, i mean, she had some rockin music, but she is a wanna be! i mean, she tries to show of her big punk style, and say’s that shes “a Tough girl” but have you seen her muscles? no! cause she doesn’t have any, i mean, i’m only a teenager and i can easily kick her ass. i’m mean really! come on! And she couldn’t be any more girly, even her music is girly, sure the music itself is punkish, but th lyrics are, ugh! the lyrics are just so girlyish. “i wanna be your girlfriend”? “i miss you”? point taken, shes a girly girl wanna be punk in diguise. shes mainly just an imbarresment to all th punks/goths/emos like me. it’s just sad

Avril Lavigne is not a punk in disuise.Sure her songs are girlyish but she is our favorite singer unlike someone probally as ugly as you are she is a tough girl Katherine. You are so ugly you make a baby that isnt born cry through up and then die punk.

Avril Lavigne is not a fake, she is just flat out annoying. It’s been a few years since skater boy, and you can’t expect her to stay boyish all the time, she’s married, for God’s sake. Point is, people change, so will you Katherine. And for such an irritating artist that she is, she does make some pretty good music, it’s her attitude she needs to adjust. Oh by the way emos goths punks don’t label themselves, you’re just another poser. Peace =]

I used to love her…she used to be my inspiration.
Now she’s conceited and trying too hard.
It’s insulting that she would call people who write about what she used to write about “immature” (I read that in a different article).
Growing up has nothing to do with your music, or the way you dress. It’s how you present yourself…and her attitude? It sucks.
