Ryan Reynolds and fellow traveler John August recently flew to Malawi to help repair and repaint the Gulumba Centre, an orphanage run by Friends of Mulanje Orphans. The Gulumba Center had four rooms, no water, and no power, and it feeds 300 orphans.

Ryan and John also visited medical clinics in Malawi to establish a presence for U.S. Doctors for Africa.

Any excuse is a good excuse to see Ryan Reynolds, but it’s especially great when he’s doing fantastic work like this. Thanks, Ryan.

Note: Ryan didn’t bring the food in the photo. A local, self-directed program provides food to the orphanage.
