Monopoly, The Movie
By Allie | June 18, 2007
Does it even seem plausible to make a movie out of the board
game Monopoly, let alone a comedy thriller? Ridley Scott, creator of ‘Gladiator’ is apparently going to attempt to do just that. Scarlett Johansson and Kirsten Dunst are being considered for roles.
The games maker, Hasbro, wants the film to feature “sexy young people,” which they believe will make the teenage generation want to play board games. Scarlett and Kirsten are probably arguing over who gets to be the car. The thimble is definitely not sexy.
