Jennifer Aniston, along with 29 others, has been invited to vote for next year’s Academy Awards. It’s quite a coincidence that Angelina Jolie and her Mighty Heart film will probably be up for Oscars. Yes, I know, neither one probably cares, but it’s still an interesting award set-up. I’d be curious who she votes for at least.

Do you think that’s why Brad Pitt’s mom stopped by to visit Jennifer?

“Celebrity Babylon stumbled on a highly organized stealth visit on June 17, that had Brad Pitt’s security team escorting his mother Jane in a black SUV to Jen Aniston’s rented Malibu beach pad.”

The visit lasted about two hours, after which Mrs. Pitt “left without much expression” (but what’s she supposed to do, wave for the cameras?).

Here’s some speculation on why the visit went down:
The Superficial: “I think they want you to believe that Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt’s mom are conspiring against Angelina Jolie in some way.”
Mollygood: “I can’t imagine how I’d feel if I were a married father of four and my mom saw my ex-wife, at her rented Malibu beach house, for two hours. That’s weird, Brad Pitt’s mom.”
dlisted: “Aniston is more mother-in-law friendly than Jolie, so this doesn’t surprise me. They probably talked about boring things like cupcake recipes and why Angie is such a bitch! If I see Maddox sneaking into the Aniston compound, I’ll know something’s up!”
A Socialite’s Life: “I’d like to think they have other things to talk about other than Angelina Jolie.”
